I often draw sketches in QCAD but find it slow and tedious, especially when making interacting mechanisms. I would love a drawing tablet, but don't know where to start.
I have seen some related posts like this https://pctechtest.com/best-drawing-tab ... -designers , but still not sure.
Is it easier or more difficult to use QCAD with a drawing tablet? and which one to get? a wacom or do other tablets work too?
Is it good to use QCAD with a drawing tablet?

Re: Is it good to use QCAD with a drawing tablet?
Hi,
I find QCAD most intuitive, fast for small to medium projects, equipped with all common methods and much, much more.
For that you need specialized software, read: More costly, more demanding, more ...
On Wacon Tablets read: https://www.qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic. ... 826#p29826
For stand-alone tablets the main requirement is that QCAD supports the OS of the tablet.
Where do you expect the speed gain from a Digitizer Tablet?

I think this says more over your drafting skills with QCAD than over the processing speed of user interactions and inputs.

QCAD does not support parametric features so that parts of a mechanism interact.
