As can be seen from the attached drawing, the dimensions on a part of my drawing do not add up correctly. 1/4 + 5/16 + 1/4 + 5/16 + 1/4 = 1 3/8 NOT 1 5/16. I thought it might have to with the precision settings, but no matter what I alter them to it never comes out correctly. Ideas on either what I am doing incorrectly or what may be wrong?

Re: Dimensions Not Adding Up
Hi,
did you use a dim scale for the 1 5/16 dim? If not please attache the drawing in question to your posting or an example drawing what shows the same issue. Thanks.

Re: Dimensions Not Adding Up
Can it be that your grid is 1/8 inch (dots) and your meta grid is 1/2 inch (lines+dots)?
Then 1 3/8 would be 11 grid-points.
The 1 5/16 is only just over 10 grid-points but not halfway 10 and 11 grid-points.
From the screenshot it seems that the middle 1/4 part is narrower than both the outer 1/4 parts.
Please measure the distances in decimal notation.
Some of these values are probably rounded numbers.
Below the sum is 1/2 but it is not ...
If not, there could be 3D information where Z is not zero or an arbitrary dimension scale is used.
What I don't know for CE is that recent issues were fixed concerning Dim Styles and displaying the linear factor in the Property Editor.
