I am using CE on a Mac under Big Sur
I am sure that this question has a simple answer. I want to move a line from one layer to another. I thought that that would involve cutting it from one layer changing the current layer and pasting it into the new layer. I thought that this would result in the line being placed in the same location on the new layer. However, that didn't work. I tried a search in the forum but could only pull up one posting and the content wasn't relevant.

Re: moving lines between layers
Hi
select all entities which have to be moved,
check the Property Editor for Layer,
chose in the drop down list the target layer - done.
make sure the Property Editor is launched below Menu / View / Property Editor,
select all entities which have to be moved,
check the Property Editor for Layer,
chose in the drop down list the target layer - done.
