Re: crash when moving objects
Can't reproduce it here: 3.24.3 PRO on win7
Could you post a file where certain good documented steps leads to the issue?
Important is: Rotate, how? ... Move, how?
Kind Regards,
CVH.

Re: crash when moving objects
You're using a snapshot release (3.24.2.6). Snapshot releases are not intended for production use.
Re: crash when moving objects
the version mentioned is the one provided with fedora. i could possibly try to rebuild with latest community edition version but that might take some time due to low computer skills...
i can reproduce this by drawing from scratch and not related to the textpart i mentioned before - i can reproduce it with only rotating lets say a "box"
the program hangs when issuing the next command after doing a rotate (in my case 30degrees)
i get a segmentation fault when issuing the next editing command (i have tested "move" and "resize" so far....)

Re: crash when moving objects
ok i rebuilt the RPM file with 3.24.3.0 and it seems to work fine
i really have no idea what the reason for the improvement i can see stems from - but for me it is an improvement, the fedora maintainer of the package cannot reproduce.
if there is something in that snapshot that is prone for this kind of behaviour perhaps we should update the fedora bundled package.

Re: crash when moving objects
I think your problem was mentioned on the forum around the time that 24.2.6 was released.
And in combination with fedora, mint or another Linux distribution.
And if I remember it correct the issue was addressed as soon as it popped up.
Pitty that I can't find a trail now that 24.3 is released.
Not all the novelties of all snapshots make it to a new release, the bug references seems to be dropped too.
Happy for you that you solved it with a 24.3 rebuild.
Me, I would not know were to start...

Re: crash when moving objects
New releases are announced on:
Board index .. General .. Announcements:
viewforum.php?f=16
To never miss a release you can subscribe to that part of the forum at the very bottom.
With snapshots an intermediate change log might also be available at:
https://qcad.org/changelog
The Qcad project on GitHub is update every commit and is almost in real time.
Apart from the proprietary part I presume.

CVH.
