Post by Quasar999 » Sat Mar 28, 2020 2:29 pm

Hello,
How i could change the properties of a dimension? Using the properties box i couldn’t see the text type and size value.

These are aplied for the full document.
See:
Menu..Edit..Drawing Preferences (Ctrl+I) >> Dim Settings

That is for the current document.

The general prefs are at:
Menu..Edit..Application Preferences (Ctrl+,) >> Dim Settings
The red text is self explanatory.

text style :
Meaning individually...No
Pritty common to use a global style for all the dims in a drawing.

Meaning in one or both Preference widgets...
That would be odd.

The value of the dimension is the 'Label' property.
Auto means the measurend value.
This can be any text, something<>, <>whatever or something<>whatever
Here <> is a placeholder for the measured value.

There is still the option of exploding a dimension to Faces-Lines-Text.
However, you will loose the link with the measured value by doing so.

Really sry to bother you so much but i can't find the menu entry to change the font type of the dimensions. I check in the Application setting and in the drawing settings and seems that only in the last one i could modify some parameter for the dimansions but not the font type.
When i talk of the font type i mean the shape of the number in the label like:Arial, Times New Romans and etc.

Your topic in was in the Pro section.
Please always mention Qcad version and platform.
See Forum Rules at the top.

See:
https://qcad.org/en/documentation/features
Scroll down to •Construction ◦Dimensions
'Configurable dimension font' is in blue = Pro feature

Sorry, You will need a pro licence for that.
Don't let the small fee discourage you!

I can't agree with CVH more... the small fee for QCAD is so worth it.
