Hi All;
Name is Guy Mengel. I build ship models and rc sailboats. I have been using QCAD before (but not for about 3 years). I was using TurboCad (painful user interface). I am going to give this a shot again. The way I work is importing ship lines (on a separate layer) and then tracing over them in a third layer and many subsequent layers. One problem I always have had (except in Autocad) is leveling the imported image and rotating it.
Anyway.. wish me luck and I will be sharing some of my drawings in QCAD.

Hi Guy - welcome to the QCAD Forum,
QCAD is still improving every day and 3 years is a long time. Scaling or rotating a bitmap is in my opinion a piece of a cake but you will see it by yourself. If you have any question feel free to ask - mostly we're able to help.
Long story short: Good luck!
