To get this topic started, I'll throw out this question to the QCAD community.

What are the benefits of using SVG ?

QCAD does not facilitates export as .EMF .WMF etc. Via .SVG export one can use another program to accomplish these file formats. I used inkscape as an interface.
But thereby it turns out that the SVG export of QCAD is not right. In my drawing there are texts. These texts are in the SVG file, but without there coördinates. So they do not appear in inkscape. So is this a bug?
I upload the .SVG file.

Carolus: if you are experiencing any problems, please attach always the original DXF file, thanks.

Andrew, you are asking me to attach the .DXF file too. I attach the .DXF file and the .SVG file as well.

BUT there is a strange thing: when I open the .DXF file which I saved at 6 jan 16, QCAD opens it without objections, but I don't see my drawing at the screen. What do I wrong?

Originally this drawing was made with the free version. But I bought the professional version and saved the drawing with this version (3.12.4.0)

Thanks for your work.

I bought Qcad just because of this functionality. I needed a tool to draw geometry to place in an EPUB publication. SVG is the only standard supported in HTML to insert vector graphics, and the EPUB specification asks that its documents must be HTML documents.

Inkscape does not have as many tools as Qcad to compose the desired geometry.
