Opening a Named File Auto opens a new 'Untitled 1' file at the same time, can this be changed so that only one file opens
Ideally only the named file, I don't want two files opened at the same time
Please can you advise
Regards
Alan

Re: Opening a Named File Auto opens a new Untitled 1 file
Hi Alan,
If you launch QCAD it will open QCAD and load a new empty drawing. If you then load a named drawing you have two drawings in QCAD opened.
However - I see where you are coming from .....
I guess there is a setting which could work for you. Activate below "Startup" in Application Preferences "Restore open files".
With this setting activated QCAD can be closed with open drawings. All opened drawings will be reloaded the next time when you start QCAD. No empty drawing will loaded except you closed QCAD without any active drawing!
Note: If a drawing was modified QCAD will ask you to save that drawing. No modification = no save question pops up. With other words - pay attention to all messages! I recommend to exercise a few time this new behavior with an unimportant test drawing. In the case you need a new empty drawing just launch below Menu / File / New a new one.
