[Solved]Dwg Has Image in Acad But None in Qcad

Post by John Hyslop » Tue Apr 26, 2022 6:48 am

Hi

I'm not sure what is going on here but when I open this drawing in AutoCAD it has an image..but
when I open in Qcad it's missing? I only got emailed the drawing file and in the properties "in Acad" it doesn't
indicate an image is present .. wondering if Acad somehow embeds images??
This wouldn't open in Previous version of Qcad 3.27.1 but does in 3.27.2 "Linux" Any Ideas??

Cheers

The image is a Windows OLE Object. That's an object that is rendered by another application into the drawing canvas. There are currently no plans to support this in QCAD. Note that this can only work on Windows and shows nothing or a rectangle on other platforms.

Thanks Andrew

I Asked my Customer for the Image so not a problem now, I'm putting solved in the title..
As I'm mainly using Linux anyway..
