Line set in layer as Dash dot(.5x) is showing continuous.
How to correct this?

Please check if "Screen-based Linetypes" below Menu / View is activated.

If your drawing is large (e.g. lines with several meters lengths), the line patterns will be too small to display in model space. You can either use screen based linetypes as Husky suggested or switch to print preview and set up your page size to see your line types.
