Please help!! This problem just started today. When I copy a line, the new copied line becomes really big. It does not keep the original size. Also, with reference copy, using relative positions (like @0,24) does not seem to work. I've attached the problem file.
I'm relatively new to QCAD. I'm wondering if I accidentally typed in a command that changed some options or preferences.
I have to generate some drawings for work soon. If someone can take a look at this soon I would greatly appreciate it.

Some more info on this issue. I started a new blank drawing and the same problem is there also.

To copy that line you are using the Clipboard functions? If yes please check the insert scale factor in your option bar ...
... which should be 1.
... which should be 1.
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

Re: Problem: copying a line object makes new one much larger
Hi,
What we presume is that the scale of the paste is not 1:1.
Look at the Control Toolbar for any specific setting of any function.
That is the toolbar that displays an arrow after a reset, with tooltip 'Active Tool: None'
That is a tool setting or an App related issue.
There is nothing wrong in your file.
Regards,
CVH

Re: Problem: copying a line object makes new one much larger
Thank you Husky, CVH! You saved me. Somehow I had 48,48 in the scale window. I like using the command line, especially for typing in relative coordinates. My cursor must have jumped to this window and I did not notice it.
Husky... You asked if I was using the clipboard function. I always copy using copy with reference (RC) and paste using PS. Is there another way to copy without using the clipboard?
Thanks again guys.

Re: Problem: copying a line object makes new one much larger
You could also use:
Duplicate (DP) which will put a copy without a reference point on top of the source,
or
Move/Copy (MV) which will copy with reference point and the option to do more than one copy ...

Re: [solved] Problem: copying a line object makes new one much larger
Thanks for the tip. It never occurred to me to use MV for copying also. It's probably quicker than using RC and PS.

Saved me too! my scale was set at 235 so it was a bit confusing for a while when I was pasting things!
Thanks Husky!
