SOLVED: troubles with Polyline Offsets

Hi,
i have a problem offsetting polylines consisting of short line segments. The transition between subsequent line segments is a little strange; i.e. the offsetted line segments are not trimmed, but simpley connected with an additional line segment- obvious that these must cause troubles:

trying round join or miter join did not change anything.

the version in use is 3.21.3.0, running on Windows 10.

Is it a bug, an obsolete bug that is already fixed in newer versions, or did i do something wrong?

argh..., got it, it's because the original curve had some 3d information included. Misc>>Modify>>Flatten Drawing to 2d did the job...
