I have just started using QCAD for my own work, since I can afford it. I'm used to Autocad, and am struggling to get what I want done in QCAD.
My issues currently are:
1)I want to turn off layers in viewports, so they only show in some. This does not appear to be possible.
2) The hatches I have drawn in model space look completely different in paper space. I would like to fix this, or be able to draw in paper space.
3) Is it possible to dimension in paper space?
4) Can I use a mix of decimal and architectural dimensions?
Turn off layers in viewports, mixed dimensions, hatch appearence.

Correct. This is not supported at this point.Mountainman38 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2019 5:56 pm1)I want to turn off layers in viewports, so they only show in some. This does not appear to be possible.
We would need to see your drawing file to comment on that.Mountainman38 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2019 5:56 pm2) The hatches I have drawn in model space look completely different in paper space. I would like to fix this, or be able to draw in paper space.
Yes, you can use all the drawing tools in paper space.
No, QCAD only supports one single dimension format for a drawing.Mountainman38 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 27, 2019 5:56 pm4) Can I use a mix of decimal and architectural dimensions?

Andrew,
Thanks for the replies. You've answered all my questions except the hatch one, and I figured out that issue was due to scaling. I enlarged my drawing 12 times, and everything looks correct now. Evidently there was some sort of conversion issue between feet and inches, which led to the display problem.

Hi,
Try "Auto fit drawing to page"Mountainman38 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 28, 2019 6:23 pmNow the issue I'm having is getting my paper background to be the same size as the drawing. How do I fix that?
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

I edited my post, while you were posting. I figured out that I had to set model units to inches, and drawing units to feet. This sized the background properly.
