CAM Mill amd drill depth of cut
Have used QCAD for a number of years and remain using it as my main 2D cad program. Have recently been using its CAM functionality and am pleased for the most part. One thing I find as an anomaly is specifying the cut of each pass as a count of the total depth as opposed the an actual depth per cut. Of course mathematically it works out the same but the standard I've used with other programs allows you to specify the depth of each pass ie 0.13mm per pass as opposed to 20 cuts in total. Just wondering what the reasoning is?
