Block Attributes Properties

Post by BarryW » Wed Jul 12, 2017 11:45 pm

Hi folks,
Somewhere between version 3.16.7, and 3.17.3 I have lost the ability to colour block attributes independently of the block they attach to.
Can anyone else verify this?
Andrew, any thoughts?
Thanks
Barry W.

For compatibility reasons, attributes always have the same color as the block reference they belong to if they are on layer 0. Layer 0 behaves different than other layers in many respects. If you wish to avoid these layer 0 effects, it's probably best to avoid layer 0 altogether.

Aha!

Some of the Blocks were on layer 0 in the drawing; moving them to a layer other than 0 make the attributes works as expected.
Thanks Andrew, I had forgotten that it's best not to use layer 0 for anything other than constructing blocks.

regards,
Barry.
