[Solved]Error viewing file

Post by debbio » Mon Aug 02, 2021 1:33 pm

Hi all! I'm new, I've bought the professional version of qcad to open the file you see in attachments, but I cannot view all the measures and the lines appear strange.
Can you please check what's happening?
In the png file you can see a part of the dwg opened with Autocad Trueview with correct lines and measure view

EDIT: I'm on windows 10 64bit, last qcad stable version

Hi
The problem si that the font is too small compared to how big is the drawing...
Considering how large is your drawing, I would try this GENERAL setting:

Modifica - >preferenze disegno - > Quota -> Impostazioni quota - > Fattore di Scala = 500

IF your want to act on a single quote, just select properties, and change "Scala"

BR

PS
@ Andrew Mustun
Just an idea ....
How is Autocad choosing (right) how big the font should be as default ?
Maybe could exist some empirical relation between how big is the drawing and how big needs to be the font ...

Hi Giuliano, thank you for your answer, but it's not only a problem of dimension quota.. You can see I've red lines all over the drawing (instead they are more precise on autocad viewer)

EDIT: The lines that have a specific angle have the extension of the measure lines too long.

Sorry - I missed that ...

The dwg is not a plain 2D drawing. It has also 3D features especially at the dims. QCAD is a 2D only CAD program and can't handle 3D features.

The Autocad Trueview viewer is able to read 2D AND 3D.

But if I recreate the measure inside qcad, the view is the same... The lines are too far from the measured lines

Try to flatten the drawing to 2D.

Menu / Misc / Modify / Flatten Drawing to 2D
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

Thank you. In this way I can recreate the measure.. how did you know it wasn't a 2d drawing?

How did you know it wasn't a 2d drawing?
- By viewing it in a 3D application.
- By the Z coordinates not all being zero.

Values for Z is by preferences:
Menu Edit .. Application Preferences .. Widgets .. Property Editor .. Display Z coordinates

CVH
