Mac OS 12.3.1
QCAD version 3.27.1.0 (3.27.1)
I am trying to create a 1/4" = 1'-0" scale Viewport.
In Layout Paper before selecting Draw>Viewport I can choose from Scale Window 1/4" = 1'-0
But this according to manual is the incorrect process.
I set page scale to 1"=1".
Then I select the Viewport>Draw tool and look to select scale but only metric scales available.
I choose 1/100
After placing viewport in Layout I then select the viewport and change the scale to 0.0208
For 1/2" = 1'-0" I use a scale 0.0417
is this the correct method or am I going to end up in hot water?
Thanks

Re: Viewport Scaling in Architectural Imperial Dwgs
Yes that approach would be correct ...
for 1/4" = 1'-0"
you can use 0.020833333 or 1/48
for 1/2" = 1'-0"
you can use 0.041666667 or 1/24
Note: The combo box for the scale value will accept a written in 1/24 or 1/48 during the inserting process - no need to change that later in the Property Editor.
Just to give you a head up - most likely the next QCAD update will offer imperial scales in the combo box for Viewports too ...

Thanks Husky for your incredibly fast response.
Just used your suggestion to type in 1/48. Makes life a lot easier
Looking forward to the update.
