[Solved] Embedded bitmaps
I'm assuming it is a DXF file standard that the only way to associate a bitmap image with a DXF file is by a external link? There is no way to import the bitmap into the DXF file?

Re: Embedded bitmaps
Yes, bitmaps are linked in DXF/DWG. Some kind of embedding as OLE object is theoretically possible but not supported by QCAD.
I'd recommend working with project folders: a folder for your project that contains the DXF, the bitmaps and all other resources related to that project (such as PDF exports, spreadsheets, etc.). QCAD always finds a referenced bitmap if it's in the same folder as the drawing file, even if the path changes.

Re: Embedded bitmaps
That makes sense. Thanks.
