How Do I Limit Actions to The Active Layer
Is it possible to limit actions to the current layer. Eg trim lines, erase etc

Re: How Do I Limit Actions to The Active Layer
The only way I know to do this would be to "lock all layers", and then unlocking the one layer you want to make changes to. If you right-click on the lock symbol in the layer list you can do this, or the shortcut is YK. Perhaps there is a way to automate this but I'm not aware of any but there are people here with a lot more knowledge than I have.

Restrictions on certain tools? What is that good for?
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

For example when trying to work over other layers. Eg but not limited to creating sections over floor plans. In this instance I would like to snap to parts of visible layers but not edit other layers. I think ryancousins suggestions will work for me.
