Whiteout (Solved)

Post by seasdes » Tue Feb 16, 2021 6:20 am

I need to insert some text over some linework and images. In some other CAD packages there is a whiteout function that allows this to happen. Is it possible in QCAD?

QCAD does not have a whiteout function. This said, you can use a solid hatch to have a similar effect.
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

Hi

This is a bit of a hack but it works e_surprised
I draw white on a black screen and I thought I'd share this with you all...
It's just a white image but you can change its size width & height as you like, I hope this comes as a handy tip..
Just make sure Modify > Draw Order > Bring to Front is set or use hotkeys MF :D
And once you have in your drawing you can cut and paste as you like..

Thanks John. A great tip. And the image size can be reshaped by dragging the handles of the image. :D
