Performance when switching layers

From a QCAD user:
When i am moving around the layers (turning them on/off the program works so slowly) literally I am waiting 30 sec around the program catch up my commands. Would you pls inform me how can i make the program quicker?

I can not reproduce the 30 seconds LAG.
Look at my poor specs below ....

There is considerable LAG noticeable.

We are constantly working on improving performance and the latest snapshot (3.25.2.2) available from your download link might already offer some improvement when switching layers.

However, QCAD is not as highly optimized as Autocad / Draftsight. It was designed with smaller projects in mind. If you are experiencing poor performance, QCAD might not be the right choice for the complexity you need to handle and you would indeed be looking at something like Autocad or Draftsight instead.
