Re: Changing Qcad theme
Same answer:
There is the general theme and there is the dark theme.
One has to reload Qcad to see the changes.
Perhaps you are referring to the drawing background in those themes.

Re: Changing Qcad theme
I must be blind, I cannot find the option to change the theme under
As you can see on the screenshot, there is no such entry in the menu and the “Filter” box returns nothing when searching for the keywords “Theme”, “Light” or “Dark”.Edit > Application Preferences > General > Theme
Re: Changing Qcad theme
You’re on macOS. Themes are not supported on this system.

Hi Lumaja
If you are interested in playing around with theme colours, user Petevick made an application that can create custom themes, you'll find it here..

Re: Changing Qcad theme
It's good to know that themes are not supported by macOS.
But my real question is not about themes but about the toolbar color. During the installation of QCAD, I chose a setting that made my toolbar dark and now I can't go back to light colors.
Can you tell me where I can find the setting to change the toolbar to light colors?

Re: Changing Qcad theme
Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately it didn't work, my toolbar is still dark.
Also, there is a bug in the dialog box when QCAD asks for the settings at the first start. The background is completely black and it makes the captions impossible to read.

Re: Changing Qcad theme
This looks like you might have installed a package that does not match your operating system. Please indicate what exact macOS version you are using and which QCAD package (file name) you have installed.
Re: Changing Qcad theme
I'm unable to reproduce this here on the same system (macOS 12.3.1, M1) with the same QCAD package. There must be some kind of setting or preference that is different on your installation but I couldn't figure out what it might be. What are your settings for light / dark mode in your macOS System Preferences > General?
