Snap to grid
I want it to snap to objects. how do I turn off snap to grid?
Re: Snap to grid
Hi,
Snapping is dynamical. Grid, Reference points ...
Qcad will propose the most likely snappoint near your position.
So, snapping to objects/entities references is automatic.
And snapping to the grid too.
You can turn that off.
Edit ... Application Preferences (Ctrl + ,) ... Snap ...Auto Snap ... and blank out any option.

Re: Snap to grid
thanks. I know what it does, but I've been using auto cad for maybe 20 years now and i've never once used snap to grid. Or displayed the grid for that matter. Or the rulers.
Re: Snap to grid
Everyone its own methods.
I like my WCS coordinates as whole or meaningful numbers.
Snap to grid does that for me on occasions.
Like I said, turn off any snap option you like.
