Auto-orientation

Post by louis » Wed Jun 03, 2020 4:43 pm

Hello,
I would like to know if we can make an auto-orientation from a dwg file to pdf file.
With command line, I used --auto-orientation, but the orientation was the same. The drawing is inclined and I would like it to be straight.

If anyone has the answer I would be thankful

Debian 10
QCAD version 3.22.1

"Auto orientation" refers to the paper orientation (landscape for drawings that are wider than tall, portrait otherwise). The drawing is not rotated or changed in any way by this option.

No, there's no option to rotate or otherwise change the drawing in dwg2pdf.

If it's an option to do it manually, you could create a layout block with a viewport that displays the rotated drawing (angle 119.534361, scale 0.005):

This way you don't have to change the drawing and you can still display / print / export it straight.
