I have not been able to find how or where a user might adjust drawing settings so that the ruler shows up at a designated zoom factor or depth.
Right now, I never see the ruler markings until I zoom in quite a ways into the drawing. I can't include the exact zoom level
because I don't see that show up numerically as I change the zoom in or out buttons.
(Yes it's turned on in the Application Preferences, Graphics View, Appearance.)
I apologize if this is already covered elsewhere. I was unable to locate this particular question.
Is this a setting that is adjustable somewhere? Are the Ruler markings dependent more on video resolution
or is it in fact reliant on the actual zoom level as I've assumed?

Re: Zoom in depth versus when ruler markings appear
Please attach your drawing as these settings are stored with it.
Re: Zoom in depth versus when ruler markings appear
Andrew,
I'll be happy to attach a drawing but I find this a problem with ALL my drawings. Both drawings I create as well as anyone else's drawings.
It appears to be something a user can not adjust or change.
I'm just curious at what point during zoom-in does QCAD start allowing you to see the ruler? If you zoom out, it disappears until
you zoom back in to some apparently, pre-decided, zoom level.
Thanks.

Re: Zoom in depth versus when ruler markings appear
Panchdara,
That was exactly what I needed. Thank you very much. That totally fixed it for me.
Now what I'd love to learn, is what that Grid setting for Meta Grid Spacing is used for and why that caused this to happen?
Also to know what situation would I want to change it to a value rather than auto?
If you or somebody else (perhaps Andrew?) knows, it would be awesome.
PS - I also set that to auto as the default for new drawings in "Application Preferences" as well.
Thanks again for your help.

Re: Zoom in depth versus when ruler markings appear
You are most welcome. I don't mess with these settings (I'm still a novice user).
Enjoy QCAD - it's the easiest CAD I've ever used and the support is second to none.
Best
Hugh
