Property painter for new user - QCAD ... ver 3.24
Hello Andrew ...
I just bought QCAD last week and want to 'in-fill' an area with color inside that shape. - How do i "activate" (so to speak) property painter ? ... The tool icon is grayed out on under the "modify" tool bar heading. - Further, I found a weblink to a qtcad website to search for a new user type guide -- but no luck .... ? ... Carl

Re: Using Property Painter ... ???
Fill in an area with color should be done with a hatch (solid).
The purpose of the "Property Painter" is to apply properties of a chosen entity to the current selection. Please refer to the QCAD Reference Manual below Menu/Help
Note: Every tool which needs a previous selection will be grayed out if no selection is present.
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

In addition to Husky's great reply, I also found these two Qcad Links to be extremely helpful as well.
