Making a selection horizontally equidistant and then aligning them vertically

Post by Krischu » Thu Jan 09, 2020 2:08 pm

How can I make a selection equidistant in one dimension such that they are evenly distributed over the distance of the outer most objects?

After having done that I would align them evenly in direction perpendicular to the first direction (general case for horizontally vs. vertically)?

You could 'Move' with 'Copy'... 'Multiple copies'

Problem is, the objects are already exist in the drawing in an unordered fashion and I would like to distribute/align them.

'Justify' doesn't exist.

Using Align in a clever way with achors, much can be done.

You can align in one direction.
Put everyting top to bottom or back to back by picking and placing.
Using the ref points in a clever way.
And then space everything evenly again.

You could start prepared too.

The Align tool has no setting to distribute a selection evenly.

Are the objects identical? An example drawing would make it easier to find a solution ...
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

One can align some as group to the center of another.
Or to a reference created on purpose.
Possibilities are legio.

Thanks to all. I chose to draw a row of points in an auxilliary layer to which I snapped to objects manually.

Correct, only when the sizes would be equal.
What was suposed not to.
Not Correct to ask for a justify function.
