Setting drawing unit to feet
From a QCAD user:
Re: Setting drawing unit to feet
Setting the unit to feet is generally not recommended. If you work in feet, you can set the unit to Inch instead. You can then enter measurements in feet / inches as follows:
2'
4'5"
2'1/2"
1'3/4"
etc.
If you really want to set the drawing unit to feet:
Please check:
- Edit > Drawing Preferences > General > Drawing Unit: Feet
- Edit > Drawing Preferences > Dimension > Dimension Settings > Label Format > Linear Dimensions > Format: Decimal or Fractional
- Note: The dimension formats Engineering and Architectural imply that the drawing unit is Inch even if it is set to something else. This is by DXF/DWG format specification.
