Snap to Insertion Point of a Block

Post by dfriasb » Mon Mar 06, 2017 8:38 pm

I know you can snap to insertion point of a block like any other reference point, but I never saw the option to snap ONLY to insertion points of blocks. Is that possible?

Not that I know of. May I ask you what would be the benefit to have an isolated snap to the Block reference?

If you want to draw a line starting in the block reference point, for example:

I draw this line to keep origin (Insertion point) of the block, so I can edit it in place (with the rest of the drawing)

I try to start a line in the Insertion Point, but it's impossible. Even if I Snap to Reference, it is had to know if I'm Snapping to Insertion point or other.

WC block. You can see where the Insertion (Reference) point is located

Hi David - thanks for this explanation. I would not recommend this kind of annotation but I'm not an Architect.
