ENTITIES IN A GROUP

Post by Hans-OLe » Sun Sep 19, 2021 10:26 am

If you have a lot of entities (Lines, circles, arcs etc.)kept together in one group (Moving, copy etc. all entities in one command) what do you call this group and how do you split this group into several entities?

Hi,
Groups in CAD are called Blocks.
Blocks are often used to insert one or more copies of an identical drawing fragment.
They are inserted as a block reference.

Creating from all selected:
Menu .. Blocks .. Create Block from Selection (BC)

Splitting in objects what can be entities, (sub-)blocks ... and so on:
Menu .. Modify .. Explode (XP)

Regards,
CVH
