changing/modifying dimension
macOS 10.14.6
QCAD Pro 3.23.0.0
How can I - once a measure has been placed - change its position afterwards?
E.g. in the screenshot below I would like to move the right (selected) 17,7 mm to the other side of the line and would like to make the other 17,7 measure a bit shorter so that both measures fit outside the shape.

Re: changing/modifying dimension
A selected dim will display blue points which can be used to manipulate that dim with the mouse pointer. In this case you need to use one of the points shown by the red arrows:
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

Re: changing/modifying dimension
Thanks. Wasn't aware of the meaning of the blue square points. Is there a subsumption of these selection "handles" (points, square blue, red, round etc.)?

Re: changing/modifying dimension
Subsumption = overview, pileup, collection, explanation, a listing of the meaning of
circles, squares in light blue, dark blue, red, when doing a selection.

Excuse me, I don't understand what you mean. Selecting a line, scrolling down in the property editor shows
coordinates of start point and end point.

They are called "Reference Points".

Re: changing/modifying dimension
OK, and where are these "reference point" explained in detail?

Re: changing/modifying dimension
We probably don't understand why they should be explained.
Entities with endings have Start- & End- points.
Sqaured red & blue.
Circular have Center points.
Round blue.
Circular can have Reference points.
Sqaured cyan, on arcs blue.
Circular can have Mid points.
Sqaured cyan
Polys have Vertices.
Sqaured blue.
Polys have segment Mid points.
Sqaured cyan
Splines have Control or Fit points.
Sqaured blue.
Text have Position Points.
Sqaured blue.
Dimensions have beside the text position additional Reference points.
Sqaured, Round blue.
Specific naming depends on kind:
Dimension Line
Dimension Arc
Extention Point
Chord Point
Far Chord Point
Center
Line Start
Line End
Origin
Defining Point
Leader End Point
Vertices
Pictures, Hatches and Faces have Reference points.
Sqaured blue.
And if I missed some they all will be
equally self-explanatory.
Correction:
On a recent standard installation that is!
Stand corrected.

Re: changing/modifying dimension
For what it's worth...
If you don't want to spend time and effort to educate yourself...
Or to get acquainted with the incredible versatile GUI...
Investigate most of the entities types on a part of my drawing that serves to document all basic types.
A major enhanced version of Misc Examples Export Poly.
And before you ask it:
Orange means: Not fully covered
Red means: Not Yet covered or Error-like
Only human too.
To little time (left) too.

Re: changing/modifying dimension
In my installation the colors are completely different!
Why?
Because I've changed them in the application Preferences under Graphics View: Colors
