[Solved] Unsaved indicator

Post by spectric » Fri Jun 17, 2022 7:44 pm

This may be something that I have only just noticed but for me it seems like strange behavior but there may well be a good reaon for it.

With a drawing open and recently saved, if you turn a layers visability on or off the drawing tab now shows it to be unsaved, this cannot be correct because the drawing has not been modified, all that has changed is what you see on the screen.

Thanks Roy

This is correct behaviour. Since the current layer state (on/off) is saved to the DXF/DWG file, switching a layer on/off is indeed a modification compared to the file on disk.

Hi Andrew

I think I was looking at this from the wrong direction, if I have a drawing and switch a layer off then close without saving then the next time I open the drawing it will show that layer I had previously switched off but had I saved as shown by the indicator then it would open as I had previously left it, ie the layer switched off so I can see the logic, the actual drawing may not have changed but what is visable has changed.

thanks Roy
