Exploding text

Post by J-J » Wed Jan 04, 2017 12:55 pm

Hi Andrew,
QCAD 3.16.4 explodes text glyphs into polylines with line and arc segments. Spline segments are converted to tangentially connected arc segments within a configurable tolerance.
That is a cool feature :D I like it.
Certainly quite useful when one needs engraving.

Yep - I like it too!

Talking about engraving: You know a good source for free single line fonts which could be used in QCAD?
Work smart, not hard: QCad Pro
Win10/64, QcadPro, QcadCam version: Current.

Not particularly, I suppose you already explored with Google?

I had one brass part engraved by laser with RomanT and Roman fonts, it came out nice.

Yes - of course. The problem is that you get a lot of results which are stated as a free single line font collecting - but many times you have to test each one of the fonts because they are quit often not single line. I'm looking for a trustful collection - I wasn't successful for the last years .... :(
