Hi CVH

I've given users the wrong information... I said to set the origin to X0Y0 on objects far from drawing datum
I should of said set Hatch origin to object datum.... see screenshot example of GRAVEL Hatch Pattern.. also
included is dxf file in mm's..the 2 objects were drawn 1st then the hatch patterns applied..
Cheers
John
That's interesting John. I created a circle at 0,0 and hatched with gravel. Fine. I then created a block of this and inserted that block way up at 10100, 10000. That inserted block was just fine. I then exploded that block and, yup, shows the inaccuracy as you demonstrate. Would it be worthwhile to suggest an additional option for hatch origin in the hatch dialog - that option being "Center of Selection"?? If the selection is an unusual shape then have it center of the extremities?

Thanks for your continued support.

In that we agree, I think it would be a standard notice or even a default behavior when 'hatching'.
It will be one of the proposals if we get that far.
