Default Template Folder
It would be great if the Default Template Folder would be used as default for new drawings.
People, let's vote on this bug report from 2013 to get it fixed.

Re: Default Template Folder
What is the "Default Template Folder"? Where do you configure this setting? I cannot find such a setting anywhere in application preferences. Thanks.
Re: Default Template Folder
I've changed this bug report into a feature request, since IMHO there is no such preference, so it can't possibly be broken
Re: Default Template Folder
It is under Load/Save Templates options menu. The directory entered there is not used as default template folder, as probably many of us think it should.

Re: Default Template Folder
I've implemented this in the sense that the last used folder is remembered.
Re: Default Template Folder
There is a Default Template Directory button but if I select a directory it is not remembered.

Re: Default Template Folder
That's actually a list of additional directories which are available to choose from in the File > New from Template dialog. The default template directory is QCAD installation/libraries/templates, respectively the last used folder starting with the next release. I hope this solves the issue, please let me know if not.caigner wrote:It is under Load/Save Templates options menu. Re: Default Template Folder
That button switches to the default templates directory which is QCAD installation/libraries/templates. This should not be changed as users tend to get lost easily in their file systemcaigner wrote:There is a Default Template Directory button but if I select a directory it is not remembered.
Re: Default Template Folder
This is my template directory. When opening a new drawing I can select it:
But when I open the New from Template dialog again, it is back to the default:

Re: Default Template Folder
Again, remembering the last used folder has been implemented for the next release. Please let me know if there are any other issues. Thanks.
