Reset Origin

Post by ljbuller » Sun Sep 15, 2019 10:19 pm

Hey there developers. Anybody out there willing to put together a script to Reset the origin.
Basically I think the actions would be to turn all layers visible, select all entities. Select a new point where the origin should be. Move the selected items from the new origin point to 0,0.

I'm not quite up to speed on the API and script writing, but it does not seem like it should be that hard.

I think this would be great for working with ordinate dimensions as well when you have multiple items that you want to designate as the 0 point.

???

I mentioned to you that there is already a solution. In what way is your new request different to the already existing add-in?

Thank you for the link.
I will check out UCS.js. Is this the add in you were referring to?

It is not correct to enter identical questions twice in different sub forums.

I am going to report this thread for deletion.
I don't think that is an identical question. Yes, it is related to the same issue but not identical. Lack of CAD related terminology is no reason to delete anything.

I have a notification that andrew closed "Reset Origin"
Can't select that notification and in the tread nothing is altered?
