Re: What type of object is a Circle?

Also, the Properties panel isn't showing this information - where can I find it? When selected the red reference marker is the start point. The rest of the info is gathered from the vertices listed in the Property Editor. How do I convert the left to be the similar to the right (change it from 0°, ...

Re: What type of object is a Circle?

After a circle has been exploded - how to you turn the objects back to being a circle? The answer is partially given in the linked topic: Something we can 'Undo' immediately if we notice it soon enough. When 'Undo' is out of the question there is no easy way back but redrawing. So, Undo ( OO ) all ...

Re: What type of object is a Circle?

As I indicated in my first post using the "circle2p" command and exploded that - twice - resulting in two arcs. My bad  this is by preference. See Application Preferences .. Modify .. Explode. First it is converted to a polyline. After that you explode the polyline. For me that preference is ...

Re: What type of object is a Circle?

Is the circle a type of block? No, not at all, an arc and a circle are two distinct basic CAD entities. In normal conditions a circle would not explode at all. Test it, draw a circle with CI for example, select and explode ( XP ) it. The circle entity remains a circle. What probably happened...

Re: Having some crashes

FB, pity ...

When does it crashes or is it at random?
Have you a crash report for Andrew to look at?
Maybe it already tells more by simply reading it ...

Re: "QCAD" not responding when save

Nice that you could solve this. :P

Where a file is saved to should not cause an irresponsible stall.
Then again, I am not that familiar with the Linux folder tree structure.

Re: "QCAD" not responding when save

Maybe a solution to throttle back is to load your file in a recent trial pro version and save it in R15 format. Newer QCAD trial versions (=QCAD pro) may use a more recent format by default. Anything not yet supported in R15 will not be saved as such. Updating and removing an installation doesn't al...

Re: "QCAD" not responding when save

Hi, The file loads OK (CE => R15) and saves OK on Win with 3.27.6 Pro. There are a few things that pop out on your console log: - Color #fffff unknown for CSS (An CSS error, 5x 'f') - scripts/Pro/DefaultActionPro.js not found (QCAD Pro) - Style overides (Newer) - Several property changes. (Newer) Ha...

Re: How do I set the thickness of lines?

Hi there, while I now understand that there is a set range of sizes, that does not explain how to actually set the line thickness. Common practice is that the attributes are inherited from the layer. https://www.ribbonsoft.com/en/tutorial-working-with-layers An entity that lives on 'layer 1' then h...

Re: How do I set the thickness of lines?

Hi, and welcome to the QCAD forum. First, CAD uses a limited set of Line-weights from 0.05 up to 2.11 mm whatever your measurement system or drawing unit is. That is the thickness of your line-art on paper or on screen when not using screen based line types. This has been a standard from the days wh...

Additional Button icons for Misc/Select.

All, I provided Andrew with some simplistic tool icons for the Misc/Select menu/toolbar/... All because the default preferences for these tools is to use empty icon files on toolbars. (One could however opt to exclude them from toolbars ... aka customizing) Before: MissingMiscSelectIcons.png After: ...
