Re: Placing dimensions in accordance with a tolerance block
The settings below Drawing Preferences are not meant for a tolerance. That is a display precision setting what tells QCAD to show e.g 25.67 instead of 25.668973. You can kill trailing zero's but that is all. To use tolerances you can make individual decision for each Dim within the Dim option bar: H...

Re: Merging drawing border with existing drawing
Done! I did have an issue with it presenting the portrait layout even though I selected the landscape layout, but I manually select the correct one and all was well. I thought I'd done something wrong in the create process so I repeated it, but the problem occurred again so it wasn't me, but it's a...

Re: Merging drawing border with existing drawing
One question - can I delete the two unused layout blocks (Layout1 and Layout2) that come in the file by default? Yes. Ok, time to double check a few thinks. Have a look at the Drawing Preferences and check Dimension, Page size blablabla settings. Those settings are used for every new drawing and th...

Re: Why can't I draw?
Is the active layer switched to invisible or locked?
If that doesn't solves the issue please attach the drawing. Thanks.

Re: Merging drawing border with existing drawing
Great! Next steps .... Create two new Layout Blocks (Paper_Space) below Menu / Block / Add Layout Block. use "talking" names like ANSI-A L and ANSI-A P, ignore the Order field. (L stands for Landscape / P stands for Portrait). Now select everything in your drawing what belongs to the Landscape borde...

Re: Linearfaktor - linear factor
My linear factor is 2 for the dimension, How can I reset the linear factor to 1? To edit an already existing linear factor you can use the Property Editor. To control the linear factor during creating a dimension keep an eye on the option bar. Husky-2018.11.23-01.png The option bar will remember th...

Re: Merging drawing border with existing drawing
I have an existing drawing in a separate file I'd like to add insert into the ANSI A portrait border. Being somewhat new to QCAD, I'm not sure of the correct approach to make this happen. Should I simply copy the entities from the part file into the border file? Yep - that would be already a proper...

Re: Grid showing not correctly?
Thanks but I have still no problems to snap to the 150 mm grid.
BTW: Your Meta Grid Spacing has funny values - maybe Auto works for you too.

Re: Grid showing not correctly?
Hi,
unfortunately I can't reproduce that.
You are sure that the Grid Snap (SG) was activated and not only GR which makes the Grid only visible.
If the issue still exist please attache the drawing to the post. Thanks
