I am talking about the scaling of hatches ... not changing anything else!

I think the scaling of the hatches is correct, if I have a section of timber with hatching at 1:25 then I rescaled at 1:5 I need the hatch to scale accordingly otherwise my hatching would not be correct.

For roughing, you can then create a roughing toolpath using a roughing tool with an allowance for the tool radius and optionally tool length. Yes it can if you don't need it, but if you just hit the grid button to turn on and off as you need it it becomes a useful tool instead!

Hi Jim Imagine you are drawing something out on a piece of paper and you need some guidelines to help with the drawing, well if the paper is a blank sheet you may want to use a ruler to add some lines - or you could instead use a piece of graph paper which is pretty much what the grid is like in QCA...

In the tutorial you've outlined in red that 'In future releases, other types of toolpaths will be available, for example for pockets'
are you able to briefly expalin what they may be and any additional info about this please?

No, machine is not in the workshop yet, soon though

If G-Code is generated from QCAD/CAM can it be used by other CAM software or is the G-Code produced by QCAD/CAM only compatible for use by QCAD/CAM?

Okay Andrew, no major problem at this stage, as I say I am just working through the tutorial and testing and asking questions on the way, but hopefully at some stage there will be a solution for windows users.

When I run the 2D simulation and also view the 3D although it's showing a blank purple page the coordinates are registering and running in the x,y and z at the same time until it comes to a stop - so it's picking up and following the path.
