OG on circle
I found that creating a POLYLINE (OG) from a CIRCLE does not work. But DiViding the CIRCLE into two adjacent ARCs works out.
Just as a note for comment.

Re: making splines and lines to polystring - illbehaves
I get All(193)
Line [46]
Polyline [138]
Arc [9]
I can smoothen the line width (Global width 0 on all Polylines). But this doesn't make the screwy behaviour go away when I'm going to apply OG.
Ah, I saw, I had a bogus "Tolerance" chosen in the field.
Sorry for that

making splines and lines to polystring - illbehaves
I'm trying to apply the HATCH-tool method to a drawing to find out whether it has any discontinuities. When trying to apply Polyline from Segments (OG), the contour starts to behave a bit screwy, as if the order of some elements is twisted somehow. You can observe what I mean when you apply OG and c...

Selection priorities
Just a question: when you have a circle with a polygonal cross hair in it and you hover over the midpoint, it seems that the center is covered by the interection. So alway intersection is offered as the snap point. Is there a way (keyboard shortcut or modifier) that changes the intersection to the c...

Re: Circle becomes Polyline - when does it happen?
Sorry, I messed up that circle issue, and excuses for wasting your time. I was indeed starting from an import of EAGLE geometry instead working further on my initial QCAD-construction.

Once having checked the option, the check sign stays. And suddenly it is gone. It does not behave as expecte...

Circle becomes Polyline - when does it happen?
I recall and I'm sure that I created all holes in my drawing as being circles. Now I notice that they have become Polylines (which makes it difficult to locate their centre points). I suspect that it is not possible to revert that back, isn't it? Could it be that the action "Segments to Poly" (OG) d...

Re: putting a center cross hair i all circles
As always, there are several ways leading to Rome
Thanks @CVH also and question: is there a way do "select all circles" with either Filter tool or from command line ?

putting a center cross hair i all circles
To produce a layer for making markers for drill center-punch I would like to give all circles a center marker (a crosshair of some mm)
Could I do that with a command (script) or at least by clicking on all circles one after another or use a selection?

Select All. Selection Filter: > Entity type: Poly > Intercesct with the current selection (right icon) Property Editor: Global Width: (of all selected) Set to 0 I can see that only the slanted sqaures with a mark are imported as circles. trying to import a DXF from EAGLE layers (solved)
I'm trying to import e file from EAGLE PCB Cad 9.5.1. This is a DXF export in EAGLE and I'm exporting three layers (nmaed Dimension, Drills and mechanics - the latter a non standard layer added by me that should show some mechanical outlines). Purpose is, to pin point certain drill holes for PCB mou...

why is color of layer black when opening a new one?
Whenever I add a new layer, the color used for this layer is chosen to be black by default. Black lines on black background? At least this is what's it's suggesting. The lines are white then in turn.
But it's confusing. Why isn't white chosen as default?

QCAD forum site extremely slow today (at the moment)
I found that this site is extremely unresponsive at the moment. traceroute is normal. But it takes a minute to get response when clicking a topic or navigating. Just for the record. No criticism. Can happen, just would like to bring to attention. Strange and Murphy: just as I had dismissed this mess...
