Re: How do I close a loop?
Forgive me.... but this just isn't working for me. I even tried with a circle, infinite line thru center. I can create the hatch if I break the ellipse and remove the left segment, but can't fill the right section with the hatch from segments. I know I'm missing something here... or I'm naturally th...

Re: Layer selection confusion
Many, many thanks for your understanding. I shall copy the procedures into the bugtracker. I'll also raise a couple UI suggestions shortly (good/constructive of course  ). The glaring reason why I mentioned this "inconsistency" is because weird artifacts (entities) began appearing "randomly". N...

Layer selection confusion
Hi. This is a layers confusion.. I have layers: 0 v Layer 1 Layer 1a v Layer 2 Layer 2a I select (highlight) "Layer 1a" add an entity on "Layer 1a" I select (highlight) "Layer 2a" add an entity on "Layer 2a" I then collapse "Layer 2" and then collapse "Layer1" - in that order: 0 > Layer 1 > Layer 2 ...

Re: Extension lines
You doubt that? I said clearly - make any project with a lot of dimension lines and see how it looks, no one wants to look at this, You cant present it formally Perhaps you should make a separate thread in the suggestions? If it is doable in the dxf/dwg specification then perhaps it might be implem...

Re: Focus remains on command line after competed command.
Edit: I suppose I have this wrong - what I mean to ask: is there an option to terminate command input after a command has been completed? Hit ESC on the keyboard ... Yes. I think I was trying to be lazy. It was during a move/copy that I really notice this after the dialog pops up (move or copy or c...

Re: Duplicate offset library part
Use negative numbers to move left(X) or down (Y) and prefix with @ to make it relative. Leaving the @ off makes the coordinate absolute. So @-10,-5 would reference 10 units left and 5 units down. -10,-5 would be absolute point of 10 left and 5 down from the red + absolute 0 point on the drawing. @10...

Focus remains on command line after competed command.
Hi. If I use the command line to specify a command or type a coordinate, then once the command is complete the command line still has focus. Move/Copy command is where I noticed this. After I type in a new location then the dialog appears and I complete the move/copy, the command line still has focu...

Re: Duplicate offset library part
Hi vdanny. What I did was create a polyline rectangle, I think 10mmx20mm (x,y), origin 0,0. That should be okay to create. Then I selected the Modification Tool (on the left toolbar). The Copy/Move icon is greyed. I then clicked on the rectangle and then the Copy/Move option was available. I then se...

Re: Duplicate offset library part
Hi Danny. Is the attached video what you are looking for? I created a rectangle with poly line and just copied using a reference point and then in the command line specified where to place the copied based on a relative offset to the specified reference point.

Re: Open existing drawing invokes Auto Zoom?
Husky, Thanks so, so much. As I said, this is definitely a forest/trees thingie. I'm sure I looked under that tab but perhaps I did not associate "Graphics View/Appearance" with "file load" :?: - not really associative, but now I know. Thanks again for your continued great help in answering so many ...

Open existing drawing invokes Auto Zoom?
Is there a preference that does not Auto Zoom a drawing when opened? I've looked, but sometimes I can't see the forest for the trees.

Re: "Quick SVG Export" question
Sorry Andrew... problem is: Not seeing any details other than a few arrows. Sorry if you could not see what I was obviously referring to. I shall try changing line weights, but I thought the DXF would have been enough for a casual glance to defer to. I tried to present the entire issue, perhaps I di...
