Re: New here. Not sure where to post this question.

I would like for it to go back to zero when the job finishes. I'am not using Qcam so I can't help with that. Introduce a G0 Z-'high' at the end of the Gcode. What I have is a Park Spot. Set at 5mm from the home sensor. I can park high and I can park global. At job end I'll park high. one click. Bef...

Uneven scaling of Polys

Andrew, Continuing from: https://www.qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic.php?t=5566 And as I don't want to interfere on standard scripts. In Scale.js Arround lines: 403 // non-uniform scaling of other entities: 404 entity.scale(sv, this.focusPoint); 405 op.addObject(entity, flags); We could introduce the pro...

Re: New here. Not sure where to post this question.

As specific help is a bit off-topic.
You may send me a private message with your F1 setup screen grab.
Add a photo off your setup with X+ Y+ Z+ directions and home sensor positions.

Re: FlexPainter beta 0.34

My first hurdle is SIZE. To have a idea of the actual width.... I was thinking in the way CXF is standarized. A non-limiting base height of 9 units. 4.5 up & 4.5 down. Then we could work with actual dimensions instead of a scaler of something hardcoded. But how will this work out on system or a docu...

Re: FlexPainter beta 0.34

Thanks Andrew, much appreciated coming from you. Please read inside the script. The math was simply cast left , cast right. But then it evolved in several stages. All curve-based Nice endings. Apexes. Dynamically scaling to a closed form (without apexes) The idee of insertions eg. a knot in this cas...

The script adds an entry to Misc| Script Examples | Mathematics | ..
The script mimics a roller stamp that travels along the selected base curve.

PS: also negate homing direction or speed if you don't swap wires

Re: New here. Not sure where to post this question.

chuckt, imho this is not Qcad/cam related but has to do with your setup. The Z home (Z=0) is "up", X home is with the bed to the left, and the Y home is with the bed closest to me. Nothing wrong with that. these are homing coordinates in machine values. Usually these have nothing to do with the actu...

Updated beta 0.41 FlexPainter beta 0.34

Hello to you all, Here goes nothing.... It started with an order of my old mentor in engraving. He is retired and lives partially in Uganda these days. The order was to make 14 badges as relation gift. The first pic is the design I got from him, the second is what I proposed. ESCU_Commodore.png ESCU...

Re: rounded corners

Hi, I don't have Qcad its CAM yet. But I suspect what can be wrong. It might be that your setup is configured to fly through the corners. OR You are using a mill offset. Try to post a simple design with these flaws in dxf as in Gcode. So we can rule Qcam out ... or in. If its your setup, I need some...
