Can't find how to show multiple dimesnion units

Hi. I know this has been asked before and for the life of me I can't seem to find it: I'd like to show 2 measurement units at same time. For instance a drawing in inches to show it's dimension in both inches and another user defined unit, such as mm. Like 3.75 (95.25) - and allow user to have option...

Lineweight of child layer

Is it possible to have an option in a child layer properties, lineweight, that is "By Parent [Layer]"?

Cheers
Hugh

Edit: and I suppose with colour too? (I know - asking too much! )

Signatures and avatars

I have a small observation with the way signatures (and avatars -to a point) are displayed. Yes, they are useful, BUT, perhaps a snapshot copy of the signature at the time of posting should be saved... ie at the time of posting then that signature remains with that post. As an example, if I make a p...

Re: Keeping up with all the updates

I need to change my subject line - Keeping up with all the INCREDIBLE updates. Thanks Andrew. To Husky as well for all your most informative and supportive posts. Andrew. QCAD has evolved an awful lot in the past 3 years. Are you considering updating to Edition 2 of your Introduction book? With all ...

Re: How to change the Lineweight for the "0" Layer?

I see this, but what exactly is the "default" line weight? I mean in real terms? Sorry to sound dumb, but where is "default" set and what is it's weight?

Keeping up with all the updates

Just when I think I've got the latest and greatest... wham... more updates on horizon... I'm certainly not complaining, just saying Wow... Thanks Andrew and all for keeping this the best CAD for value - I'm just dazzled by the number of improvements and bug fixes in such short periods. I'd rather th...

Re: New drawings in draft mode.

Thanks Husky. I did that but made mistake of flagging as a "bug"... then Andrew (I presume) set it to the correct flag as "feature request". The only reason I mention this is because it's very reassuring that these requests are being looked at on a very timely basis. QCAD support is one of the very ...

New drawings in draft mode.

Not sure if I'm missing something but... I prefer to work in draft mode and would like all new drawings to be automatically opened in draft mode... is there a setting for that or must I always go View->Draft Mode (D, F)?

Thanks

Scroll wheel for panning/zooming

I really never used the scroll wheel to pan, simply because everytime I pressed the scroll button the image would zoom in, before scrolling. HOWEVER, in my idle moments I have discovered that there might be 2 scroll wheel button switches. One on the back and one on the front. When I press the scroll...

3.16.1 splash screen

Just an observation: splash screen on 3.16.1 still says 3.16.0

Help/About 3.16.1.0

Best

Edit: Thanks Andrew... 3.16.2 solves that :)

Andrew, Husky and all, have a great Christmas.
