Re: Creating a circle to pass through 2 points

There are an infinite number of circles that satisfy that criteria. Your circle is quite simply not defined. It's impossible to drawing something accurately if you don't quite know what you want to draw... e_confused So that's the problem you'll have to solve first: what do you actually want? Screen...

Re: Very, very slow!

We're working on improving performance, but the type of files you're working with will not be possible to handle in the near future, so you're definitely looking at another solution.

Re: Very, very slow!

Unfortunately, QCAD is not designed for files of that complexity, sorry.

Re: Creating a circle to pass through 2 points

A circle is not defined from two points on the circle lines.

You need more constraints, for example:
Circle from three points
Circle from two points and a radius
or
Circle from Tangent and 2 Points if the circle is a tangent to the top line of the rectangle.

Re: Nothing visible in DWG import from Fusion 360

The drawing contains "proxy entities". These are custom entities from an Autocad based application that can only be properly used in that application. Perhaps, you can explode these in Autocad, then export to DWG or DXF again.

olly: What are you trying to do with the selection widget? Perhaps you can use the selection filter for now (View > Selection Filter).

Re: Blocks, entities, and layers

Alternatively, you can use the "By Block" attribute value for the entities in the block.

Re: Help importing a DXF

Perhaps, you can extract the reference points or geometry that you need for your work into a separate drawing and then work with that.

Re: dwg2pdf - diffrent layouts and paper sizes

OK. Perhaps you could come up with a heuristic based on the bounding box of a drawing (bbox command line tool).

Re: dwg2pdf - diffrent layouts and paper sizes

Are these drawings set up to print with QCAD? I.e. when you load the drawing in QCAD and switch to print preview, is it all set up correctly for printing / PDF export?

Re: Help importing a DXF

This drawing contains thousands of splines of degree 4 and higher. Such splines are extremely rare and unfortunately cannot be handled efficiently by QCAD. Quadratic and cubic splines are handled more efficiently. I've attached the drawing with all splines of degree 4 and higher converted to splines...

Re: Hidden lines

In CAD, you'd use layers for that. Please have a look at:

Please refer also to the QCAD e-book chapter about layers and attributes.
