Re: How rto show sheet and plan

You can find the "Sheets" under View > Blocklist. Sheets are also called "layout blocks" and are indeed special blocks.

Re: Wondering why it is so difficult to Autosnap to the center of a short arc ...

The bounding box is shown in red here: Screenshot 2020-06-09 at 09.29.31.png As soon as the mouse cursor moves out of that box (+/- a margin), QCAD does not consider that entity for snapping. "Easy", I hear you say, "simply extend that bounding box around the center - done!". Yes - that would lead t...

Re: Wondering why it is so difficult to Autosnap to the center of a short arc ...

Unfortunately I don't know the limits for a working Autosnap for an "short arc" what means always guessing: Will it work this time or not ...
It works if the center point happens to be inside the visible bounding box of the arc (top / right / bottom / left orthogonal border).

Re: Keeping Dimension Measurements the Same When Resizing Drawings

Is thread ( https://qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic.php?p=25422 ) up to date in terms of printing multiple layouts? Yes. If you are comfortable working with the Terminal, that might be an option. Is there any way to print multiple layouts from the GUI without going through and printing each layout separ...

Re: Keeping Dimension Measurements the Same When Resizing Drawings

Is there any way to enlarge a drawing and keep the measurements the same? Yes, for example by using a viewport: https://qcad.org/en/tutorial-working-with-layout-blocks-and-viewports Or simply by printing to scale (e.g. 2:1): https://qcad.org/en/tutorial-printing Or to change the measurements so the...

Re: QCAD crashes while importing a block from a dxf file

The problem seems to be the attribute definition which can only live inside a block, not in the context of a main drawing. The recommended way to do this is with a drawing that contains a block with the same name as the drawing file. QCAD then doesn't create a new block when inserting the file, but ...

This really should get improved or changed.
Yes. Unfortunately, that's Microsoft Windows Installer behaviour and not QCAD related in any way. Note that we also provide ZIP archives if you want to get around Microsoft Installer altogether.

Re: Wondering why it is so difficult to Autosnap to the center of a short arc ...

Yes, the trick is to move the cursor to the visible part of the arc, not close to the assumed center. It's possible to implement this differently. That would mean that the user would have to navigate the cursor close to the assumed center. This can be very tricky for short arcs with large radii. My ...
