Re: Layer Colours issue - looking for a workaround

There's an example script for that at: Misc > Layer > Make all White Layers Black The script can also be easily adapted to change only particular layers to desired colors, etc. The source of that script is: include("scripts/EAction.js"); /** * This action changes the color of all white layers to bla...

Re: Super and subscript

The DXF/DWG code for superscript / subscript is:

Code: Select all

\SA^B;
where A is superscript and B is subscript. Both are optional. This is also known as "stacked text", when superscript and subscript are used at the same time:

Code: Select all

ABC\SA^B;

Re: reduce a button

Please have a look at PropertyEditor.js for an example to set the size policy.

Note that you can search the git repository online (for example for "QSizePolicy .js"). Or you can checkout the repository and search locally. QCAD sources contain lots of JS code with plenty of example code.

Re: Unable to save in DWG R10 file format

I can confirm that DWG R10 and lower are not supported for writing. These will be removed from the file dialog format choice.

Re: Customize Gui with Plugin

Yes, you can do that from either a plugin or a simple script. Example script to hide the tool Draw > Line > Freehand Line: File: scripts/Misc/MyCustomUI/MyCustomUI.js function MyCustomUI() { } MyCustomUI.init = function() { // hide the tool Draw > Line > Freehand Line // hide tool from menu: RSettin...

Re: QCAD saving linetype and textstyle definitions into empty files

QCAD does not deal with text styles or line types in the same way as those other products. Text styles are not supported at all in QCAD and handled internally (a text style is created when needed on exporting to DXF/DWG). All line types that are defined in .lin files are always immediately available...

Re: reduce a button

The button might be in a layout in which case the layout controls the button size.

You should be able to override by setting size policy to fixed:
