Hello Kevin. I’m from Vicksburg, teach in Comstock, and live in Hastings. Small world!
QCAD is hard to beat for the price. And you’re sure to find help here in the forum. I haven’t stopped by here in quite a while but I’m glad seeing the word “Kalamazoo” in my email brought me back!

After typing Ctrl+V, do you have these options appear in the options toolbar at the top of the application window? If so, is "scale" set to 0 instead of 1?

Re: Y+ and B+ keyboard shortcuts
Thanks, guys. Based on Andrew's note on the bugtracker entry, it looks like Y+/Y- has been deprecated and we just use YC/YD now, and a new commit on GitHub shows that B+/B- is now BK/BX, respectively. Do I have that correct?

Y+ and B+ keyboard shortcuts
Win11 Pro QCAD 3.27.8 Okay, I feel really dumb asking this, but how do you make the Y+/Y- and B+/B- shortcuts work? I've tried both sets of plus and minus keys on my keyboard and I've tried adding other modifier keys while pressing +/- with no luck. I know there are alternate shortcuts for select la...

Re: SVG Export of block references
Andrew deleted my bug entry as it was a duplicate to this one you mentioned. Thankfully it's easy enough to explode things as a workaround.CVH wrote: ↑Mon Dec 19, 2022 8:42 amSame issue here ... probably:

Re: SVG Export of block references
Thanks guys. It looks like the vertical flip option state is remembered between successive block insertions. So a previous unrelated block that I did mean to flip vertically carried over here but of course I didn't notice because the shape is symmetrical about the X axis. I'll add a bug report.

SVG Export of block references
Windows 11 Pro QCAD 3.27.8 In the attached DXF file, I have five similar blocks. If I go to the block definition space for one and then do a quick SVG export, it works as expected. If, however, I insert a reference to one of the blocks into the main model space and do a quick SVG export, the resulti...

Welcome to the forum, ralf.torgrip
I'm glad you're enjoying QCAD so far. If you come across any other quirx that you can't figure out, there are some people here (I pretend sometimes to be one of them) that can help you.

Re: Block insertion shortcut, snap association
It looks like I have a different drawing style than you. What you describe is something what I wouldn't do in 9 out of 10 cases. I use blocks only if I have to place the same information (Text or entities) in several location. If it were just plain text, I would probably not go through the extra st...

Re: Block insertion shortcut, snap association
I already forgot what I had for breakfast Haha, I know the feeling. I was just working on an architectural drawing and I needed to insert several doors and several room name/number attributes. In some cases I could just insert all the doors and then insert all the room name blocks, but in this case...

Block insertion shortcut, snap association
I just had a couple ideas and I'm curious if anyone else would find these things useful? 1- The ability to assign a shortcut to the insertion of a specific block that you use often in a drawing. So, BI inserts the currently selected block as usual, but B1-B9 would insert specific blocks, or somethin...

[Solved] "Polyline Pattern" property
I was just working on something with polylines and noticed that there is a "polyline pattern" field in the property editor when a polyline is selected. I switch this from "Yes" to "No" but couldn't determine what change this might be making. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
