Thanks Husky,
So I can either use existing blocks, or "create block from selection" to have it added to the exported list?

Bill of Materials from QCAD
Hello again,
I'm looking for some advice on how (and if) one can produce a bill of materials from a QCAD drawing.
I should state that I'm entirely self taught with Andrew's QCAD book, and may be out of my depth... But it would save a lot of processes from design to production.

Creating Custom Hatching?
Hello again,
Is there a way to create custom hatching? We use a lot of timber in our drawings, and I would like to be able to show end-grain on my drawings where it would be a cut through a piece of timer.

Re: Importing items
Hello Husky, I have had a look at the Library Browser Tutorial. When I go to drag and drop an item from the library into the drawing, it sometimes puts an incorrect part in. That is to say, not the selected part, but another. It's as if the browser is confused... see the attached screen shot. Item "...

Re: Importing items
Thanks Husky, So far I have been using "File, Import" as a way of using pre-drawn items st save time. To be honest, I'm not sure how to insert a block, as most of the time the "Insert Block" command in the block menu is greyed out so as to be unusable. Forgive my ignorance, but if there is something...

Importing items
When I import some items that I have preciously drawn the always import onto the "0" layer. When creating the item, I have created a block, then created a library item from the block. Is there any way to import into the current layer that is selected?

[Solved] Truncated drawings
I often want to print a drawing in 1:1 scale, but need to remove a section of the drawing to make it fit onto a given page size. Is there any way to truncate a drawing, whilst keeping the dimensioning correct?

Dimension Difficulties
Good morning, I generally draw in mm. When I am using 1:1 scale any dimensions are large enough to read easily. If I have to use a much smaller scale, say 1:10 to print the drawing, the dimensions are too small to read. Conversely, if I draw in mt, then the dimensions are HUGE!! Is there any way to ...

Hello from Hobart
Good morning, my name is Duncan and I've been using QCAD for about 6 months now for drawing fabrication drawings in a joinery/manufacturing facility in Hobart, Australia.
