Re: Open Source Nesting

Hi Both

I reckon it's the nesting program too..
I also opened up svg in inkscape but only displayed rectangle but AutoCAD opened the dxf with no problems..
CVH yes same issue with polylines...
Silly me rectangle was white on white saved from inkscape as DXF and all arcs are ok..👌

Re: Open Source Nesting

Hi Husky

Just tested with quite a few parts and it worked great, apart from this file, somehow it seems to of reversed some arcs? any idea what might be going on... it's in metric, was going to nest on a 2400x1200mm sheet...see picture and attached file..

Re: Open Source Nesting

Hi Husky
Yep you're right SVG no problems at all.. that's really good thanks for pointing that out,I was going to uninstall because things that rely on the internet can some day disappear and leave you with useless software...
It's definitely a keeper now...

Cheers...

Re: Open Source Nesting

Hi Husky I tried Deepnest it's very good..I did download it and it runs offline but it doesn't read in the DXF files or nest? It must rely on a connection to work...unless they've changed the software recently..try it with no internet connection a see.. I get this error :- " could not connect to con...

Re: multiple log-in requires

Hi
That happens when you are typing a longish post and you're logged out because of inactivity.. I've started writing my posts in notepad or word and cutting and pasting when ready to post.. It's very annoying.. because you loose everything you've typed..

Re: Free Hatch Patterns

Hi All Just to be 100% clear on what you need to do if the hatch pattern you are using scatters because you are hatching say 100,000 x 100,000 from drawing datum.... the information I gave in previous posts to reset the X and Y origin back to X0 Y0 was wrong, I should of said set Hatch origin to obj...

Re: Inside Hatches, more than meets the eye

Hi CVH I've given users the wrong information... I said to set the origin to X0Y0 on objects far from drawing datum I should of said set Hatch origin to object datum.... see screenshot example of GRAVEL Hatch Pattern.. also included is dxf file in mm's..the 2 objects were drawn 1st then the hatch pa...
