Re: how do I create a pattern (array) of objects?

Create a block with this square, select the block, chose insert, chose in the option bar "Array of Blocks", answer the questions in the dialog, ok, place the array in your Model_Space - done. Select the block - OK choose insert ? Where is Insert? OK, I found Create Block from Selection. I select a ...

how do I create a pattern (array) of objects?

QCAD 3.25.2.0, macOS 11.2.2

How do I create a pattern of, say, squares?

I have created a square like 0,0;0,0 / 0,25;0,25 and would like to repeat it in Y with pitch 0,25 in Y.

To generalize it, repeat a pattern in x,y, nx,ny-times, with pitch px,py.

print white text on blue solid hatch

I cannot manage to print a white text on blue background. I drew a rectangle, made it to a polyline. Filled that with solid hatch. Changed the color property of the hatch to blue. Then I placed a text string into that filled rectangle, brought the text to front (MF). Changed text color to white. Als...

Re: Solid fill (HATCH) color

Thanks. I managed that to work. Given a circle already exists (color white). I define a new color from the chooser, that then is assigned to the the "Custom" in the color property (property editor) When I want to choose that color in the pen toolbox widget it is not listed. How can I now choose exac...

Solid fill (HATCH) color

I'm stumbling across the following: I have some circles I want to fill with different colors. There doesn't seem to be a way to modify the white square which is shown in the solid hatch dialog, although I would find it very intuitive, if one could right click on the (quite huge) white square and get...

moving objects with keeping one coordinate as is

When I do a MV on selected objects one normally selects to reference point and then tha target point. I can enter the target points ccordinates into the command line. When doing this, how can I say that e.g. X gets a new explicit value but Y keeps the coordinate (which I don't know by value at this ...

Where is the command line?

Maybe I'm blinded due to the fact that I hadn't been using QCAD Pro for some weeks, but I'm stunned about the fact that I don't see a command line to enter coordinates or get instructions what to pick e.g. in a MV command. I did a selection of three elements ent would like to move them. Any keystrok...

Re: SVG-import doesn't respect stroke-width

Yes, sure. DXF is the way to exchange back and forth. Nonetheless a bit more completeness in SVG import wouldn't be bad. For example, a fill (hatch) isn't imported either. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!-- 2020-03-23 07:36:57 Generated by QCAD 3.24.3 SVG Exporter --> <svg width="70mm" heig...

CVH,

thanks. I used both Advanced SVG export

What do you mean by

"B: Line_weight 0 = no weight in SVG and can not be shown." ?

SVG-import doesn't respect stroke-width

I have drawn a rectangle and gave it the linewidth 0. This seems to reflect in the source code (stroke-width:0). But when importing the SVG later on, the rect is drawn with a line-width according to the layer. Is this intended? If I give the layer the associated line_weight 0 it doesn't show in the ...

Re: Text doesn't accept color from layer

Hi Krischu. ... Somewhere (import from another application???) there seems to be a translation issue (is there a reference to "\C7;" in any documentation?). ... Best Thanks, Panchdara, actually I can't think of having imported the text from elsewhere but I cannot 100% exclude. If you are saying it ...

Re: Text doesn't accept color from layer

I see, you are not very experienced in electronics. ..... NO, sure! Except that I know what a FET is, and that I can tell that only from a pcb layout symbol. That I know what an RC4136 was (Do you need one?) The better follow up of the LM324. What was a Quad LM741, the workhorse of the analog era. ...
