Re: Dimension label invisible in SVG export
I have not heard anything else on this topic, but I have not pressed the issue.

Re: Solid fill hatch rendered badly in SVG export
Thanks for correcting the URL to https://qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic.php? ... 322#p24286
after my badly done copy/paste.
Also, I forgot to mention that this is with QCAD-Pro 3.23.0 on MacOS 10.14.4.
Added attachment showing the correct rendering with the SVG I hacked manually.

Solid fill hatch rendered badly in SVG export
I have reduced the DXF file from https://qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic.php? ... 322#p24286 to provide a simplified example of one problem. In the attached cable.dxf file there is a closed shape composed of parallel lines and arcs representing a USB cable. The ends are closed and the shape is filled wit...

Dimension label invisible in SVG export
I have reduced the DXF file from https://qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=6466&p=24322#p24286 to provide a simplified example of one problem. In the attached dims.dxf file there are two non-exploded dimensions. If the drawing is exported as SVG with Preserve Geometry not set, as in dims-arial.s...

Re: SVG export ignores polyline width
Sorry, I meant CVH, not CHM. I have "CHM" on my mind because I have been at the Computer History Museum a lot recently.

Re: SVG export ignores polyline width
Andrew - You correctly identified the problem; after clearing the "Preserve Geometry" option, the shape is rendered as expected in SVG. I may have set that option when I was trying to fix the poor rendering of a solid-fill hatch between arcs as reported in https://qcad.org/rsforum/viewtopic.php?f=33...

SVG export ignores polyline width
I have exported a schematic diagram from the EAGLE printed circuit CAD program as a DXF file. I want to use QCAD-Pro to make some adjustments to that DXF and then export it as SVG for inclusion in documentation. The import into QCAD works fine. However, each line of the diagram is composed of three ...

Re: SVG export background color and errors
Andrew, sorry for mixing multiple topics in one post, but do you have any comment on the other anomalies in the SVG output that I identified?

Re: SVG export background color and errors
One more deviation in the SVG output relative to the graphics view that I forgot to mention is that the font for the dimension labels is set to "standard" or "Standard" rather than "Arial" like the major text items.

SVG export background color and errors
Is there any way to control the background color in an SVG export? I have the background for the graphics view and for printing set to black, but the background is still white when the SVG export is viewed in Firefox or Safari. Furthermore, even with the preference "Prevent white on white/black on b...

Re: Nothing visible in DWG import from Fusion 360
Andrew, thanks for examining the DWG file. As I mentioned to Husky, I don't have access to AutoCAD because it is expensive, that's what led me to QCAD. I am able to use Fusion 360 for free as a hobbyist. It does not provide operations for modifying the DWG file. The drawing is really in a model nati...

Re: Nothing visible in DWG import from Fusion 360
I've searched but I have not found any way in Fusion 360 to access the layer properties of the DWG file it will export. I don't have AutoCAD (this is a QCAD forum, after all) to open the DWG file and modify it. The technique of copy/pasting from edit mode of a block works for one of the views in the...

Re: Nothing visible in DWG import from Fusion 360
Thanks for testing. It is interesting that your QCAD crashed; mine did not. I guess one might infer from the crash that the DWG file contains content that is not covered by the DWG input capabilities of QCAD. Is there documentation somewehere stating what limitations QCAD imposes on DWG files? I don...

Nothing visible in DWG import from Fusion 360
I used Autodesk Fusion 360 to open a 3D model for an electronic part, then used the function in Fusion 360 to output a DWG file showing the traditional face, top, bottom and side views of a 2D drawing. When I open that DWG file in QCAD 3.22.0.11, there are no visible elements. In the Block List ther...

Re: Splines
I hit the same problem going from 3.15.5 to 3.22.0. The same correction worked for me. Attached is the dxf before the correction in case that is useful to see where the odd tangents originated. I don't recall having selected tangents in the first place, and the property editor does not allow turning...
